Pros for both: they're not human. Pros for Aerith, she's a lovely girl and we had a grand time making fun of people who are stupid about non-humans who look like humans. Cons for Aerith, I don't know her all that well. Pros for Saint Walker, I trust him, I live with him, I'm sure he'll keep a secret. Cons for Saint Walker, he's a bit of a hippie and I don't know how well you'd react to that.
Good choice, [ the Doctor responds, with a nod. ] In that case, I'll be sure to introduce you and Aerith some other time. I'll text you when things are set up? I know emojis now, might as well use them.
You're welcome, [ said with a nod. There's a pause though. He's got to do this...but he doesn't want to do this. ]
Please don't let something like this happen again.
[ but this is going to happen again. She's going to get hurt again and they're going to have to find a healer again and dammit Clara, he's the reckless one. ]
Good. Because this...it's different for us. For both of us. It's different, I hate it, we're stuck.
[ The Doctor knows how this normally goes. Forget being careful because they can save the day and the swan off in the TARDIS for another grand adventure somewhere else! Except...no TARDIS. No swanning off. ]
There's some part about this world that I wouldn't want to give up on either. But I can't help but think that if the TARDIS were here, I'd simply shove my people all in there and swan off.
Well that depends, doesn't it? There's you and Hazel and even though none of you are technically people, you're still my people. Julian's definitely one of my people whether he realizes it or not.
Your point can't be generalized if there's a vast amount of situations in which it wouldn't work at all! And there are certainly more than two types of "not people" out there.

Saint Walker. But I'll be sure to thank Aerith for offering.

[She gives a business-like nod, and then - ]
Thank you.

You know I can't promise that. But I'll try my best, for all of you.
[Him and Cosima and Breeze, she means.]

I do too, sometimes. But only because I can't see the stars from here. There's plenty else about this world that I wouldn't want to give up.
