Even when you expect death its a big deal. It's losing someone that's a thread in your life, something unraveling. It's a person whose voice you never hear again. A piece of the universe that's gone. They stop being all made up of stars and dust and history and they become the dust. Dearh is always important because life is always important. Your life is important.

You should be... fuck, I don't know, skipping through a field of poppies or starting some bizarre hipster cactus collection or complaining about getting a mortgage or being the best teacher you can be. You shouldn't be dead.
